Corporate governance continues to develop in the Middle East
The Middle East is one of the fastest developing areas of the world. Initially driven by the oil and gas sectors, the Middle East economies have been expanded by new industry and commercial development, and now have a much broader base.
Throughout the region, the vital importance of corporate governance has been recognised and companies are gearing up their audit, compliance, risk management, legal and other control functions accordingly. Whilst the region generally has not had to deal with the rigours of Sarbanes Oxley, regulation in many industries is becoming much more comprehensive. The result is a large number of excellent opportunities for internal auditors, IT auditors, compliance, risk, legal and information security professionals.
Barclay Simpson has over 15 years experience of recruitment in the Middle East and is currently working in Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, including Dubai.
